Roommate is a minor yet significant character in Short Film by Blauw Films.

He shares a cramped apartment with Boyfriend and acts as an unlikely anchor — a listener without judgment, but also without much warmth.

When Boyfriend confides in him about the pregnancy, Roommate responds with blunt pragmatism. He cannot understand Boyfriend’s hesitation; to him, life moves forward whether you are ready or not.

Played by Jeffrey Sangalang, Roommate is detached, dry, and unbothered. He serves as a mirror to Boyfriend’s spiraling anxieties — a man who accepts the world’s indifference rather than fighting it. In Short Film by Blauw Films, Roommate represents the cold voice of reality Boyfriend cannot yet absorb.
