Born in 1947 in Richmond, Virginia in a house built by his grandfather, Jeremy Patrick Downey was born into relative wealth due to a multi-generation cider distillery. The Downey Distillery was famous across the state of Virginia and made up a foundational part of the economy of Richmond.  

Growing up during the formative years of the Free Nations and the Moral Code, Jeremy and his four brothers made it a habit to be morally righteous. Downey attended elementary school, where he skipped 2 grades and became president of his eighth grade class. 

He excelled in high school. Both in his grades and his position in junior varsity football. But his true talents only became apparent in his final years of high school, when Downey won a number of public speaking contests. As a true debater Jeremy would often participate in public debates about the direction of the Free Nations. And was even granted several freelance gigs as a ghostwriter of politicians of the time. 

Jeremy Patrick Downey graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities Studies, after which he took a job as an analyst at the RDIA (Research Department of International Affairs). Here Downey got his first taste of geopolitics. He was involved in several key developments during Operation: Cold Sugar (1964), the Siege of Simmering Hope (1967) and the Scramble for Afri Proxica (1972). 

In 1980 it was time for Downey to formally dip his toes into Free Nations politics. Over the years Downey had built key relationships with influential figures at the Board of Health and the Toy Factory. Wealthy industrialists have helped Downey with his campaigns and charities all throughout the 1980s. However, it took him multiple failed attempts at politics to catch the attention of the Leader of the Free Nations. 

An important project was on the horizon. One that required a master debater with militaristic experience. The Dissolving of Antarctica (2002-2023) was a long term process in which the Free Nations attempted to claim the Antarctic continent for themselves. Downey was given the title “The General” and has been the Leader’s right hand man ever since. 

These days the General is putting all his former experience together in setting up Operation: Deli Platter. A tier zero covert operation for which he assigned Captain Jon Wright, Pedro Gomez, Omar Karim, Philipe Beaulieu and Nathaniel Haviv. His Deli Squad has to find out every bit of truth behind the Deli Platter super-weapon, and bring it back on a silver platter to the Leader.
