The Damned

"..."

The Damned is the antagonist of The Hunt. He is the squad’s leader and a ticking time-bomb.

He used to be a leader—sharp, composed, dependable. That was before the village. Before the bad intel. Before the screaming started and didn’t stop. Now, The Damned fights not for a moral  cause, but because stillness feels like sinking. Blood on his hands, smoke in his lungs, voices in his head—he doesn’t pray anymore…

In The Hunt, The Damned leads The Sinner and The Saint into the depths of the forest. He is taking them to an unidentified distress signal.

Description

The Damned wears a red headband soaked in sweat, fingers wrapped in fraying tape, chest spattered with dried blood—none of it recent. His eyes are scorched with insomnia. And except for his lust for blood, he only craves the occasional cigarette.

His vest is barely fastened, sagging with the weight of looted explosives. He’s armored, but only just enough to suggest he still gives a damn about survival.

The Damned’s hands are burned, scarred and taped, not just from combat, but from his own actions of horror.

No one talks to him unless they have to. No one wakes him up without expecting a cynical look. He used to have a name. Now they just call him what he is—The Damned.
