Character design of The Saint from The Hunt short film by Diogo Costa—a serious-faced soldier with a dog tag, layered tactical gear, and stylized 2D animation aesthetics. Created by COLA Animation, Studio Kimchi, Studio Unkai, and Blauw Films.

The Saint

"..."

The Saint is a key character in The Hunt, and the last one who still believes in kindness.

In The Hunt, The Saint is the squad’s glimmer of hope. He follows orders and carries more than his share of the moral weight. His presence is quiet, even comforting. But his silence hides an inner panic as he watches his brothers unravel one by one.

In The Hunt, The Saint walks behind The Sinner and The Damned with a bright pink teddy bear he found on the floor.

Description

The Saint is a young man with hollow eyes and a face that hasn’t fully decided if it’s hopeful or hollowed. His hair is roughly cropped, and his fatigues—though neat—have been patched and re-patched with care. He wears a tactical vest cluttered with survival gear, but the most striking thing he carries is the small, worn pink teddy bear strapped to his hip which is missing an eye.

No one asked about the bear. No one needed to. It’s the only clue The Saint allows the others to see—that somewhere deep down, humanity still matters to him.

He’s not here to be a hero. He’s just trying to get home with a soul that still belongs to him.

But The Saint has already lost more than he knows.
