The Sinner is the main character and the emotional core of The Hunt.
In The Hunt, he is one of the soldiers lost in the forest—introspective, quiet, and increasingly unstable. The Sinner is burdened by the horrors of war, but far more haunted by his own memories. It is The Sinner who questions the morality of the group’s actions. He travels with a fellow soldier, The Saint, under the command of The Damned.
The Sinner is a young man, weathered beyond his years. He wears cracked glasses he no longer bothers to clean and a uniform dirtied by sleepless nights, blood and sweat. His helmet is scribbled with personal slogans—“Time to Die” and “Made in Hell”.
He is intelligent, but closed off. The kind of person who once laughed freely, now afraid of the sound. Beneath the surface lies the mind of a deeply fractured soul.
He does not sleep much. He speaks very little about the war, but he is always remembering. Especially acts he has not yet committed, but already regrets.
There is a deep loneliness inside The Sinner. A hope that there is a way out—not of the forest, but of himself.
