You are the major character and protagonist of Apple Rot.

In Apple Rot, you share an apartment with your girlfriend Eve, and for the past few months you have been noticing her changing. Slowly you’ve felt that You are changing as well, even though not as rapidly as Eve is.

In Apple Rot, You are waking up in the middle of the night from a strange dream when your apartment is invaded by two nightmarish figures Sad Tall and Short Angry. It is of utmost importance that you protect your girlfriend from any harm.

Description

You are, in fact, you. Your life might look different from what you remember, but memories can be deceiving. When you go to bed, you always take a glass of water with you, for when you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night. 

You have a kind heart. That can be said for sure. During the day, You are hard-working and desire a better life. However, it is becoming ever harder to make a living in this life. 

You are weighted down by anxiety which is starting to bring you sleepless nights. 

One thing that has helped bring down the anxiety is eating an apple before bed. You like to cut an apple into slices before eating them. A habit you have introduced to your girlfriend Eve.  

Ever since you started eating apples from the Genesis Orchard, things have been different though. Your sleepless nights have turned into deep slumbers filled with nightmares. And they are starting to feel ever more real.
