Thank you to NASA for having the Solar Dynamics Observatory up and running providing artists with wonderful 4K sun imagery!! This has saved me an infinite amount of time to try and generate a sun map and render something believable. In this case I’ve projected the SDO footage into 3d and rendered it out in Chaos Corona 8 with custom aperture settings and ACES workflow.
This will be an essential part of the workflow for creating believable visuals for Syntactic Labyrinths.
