Lunar Phases is a 3D rendered film that explores accurate moon phases from those camera angles that are difficult to get in real life.
I’ve been wanting to create shots from the dark side of the moon since the beginning of production on Syntactic Labyrinths. It’s that “other side” we don’t get to see.
But it’s beautiful!
For Lunar Phases I rebuilt an accurate lunar orbit, with all settings as correctly as possible. In the end the moon looks great in any shot due to its natural beauty…
