In Syntactic Labyrinths, the preservation of our collective knowledge lies in the hands of distant civilisations. The search for intelligent life has never been of such importance. The Library is sent to the Andromeda galaxy. It’s our highest possibility of encountering life. What wonders can be found there? How advanced are its species? All of these thoughts trouble the minds of humanity’s last survivors. However, what really matters is getting the Library to reach Andromeda in the first place.
Scene 02, shot 03 follows up the leaving of Earth by accentuating the Library’s destination. This shot will have a wide angle version as well in which we can faintly see Andromeda in the starry void. The film is a slow journey towards Andromeda as THINKER & RECEIVER aboard the Library constantly capture data. It will be interesting to progressively increase the size of the galaxy as we get closer it over the course of thousands of years.
