A giant in space, Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System. Rich in color and incredibly detailed gaseous storms across its surface, Jupiter was quickly one of the most challenging planets to Look Dev in Syntactic Labyrinths.
This was a process that took many iterrations — especially to get the swirling surface of Jupiter to take on the gaseous qualities we were looking for.
In this sequence of shots I was playing with an Ektachrome LUT on the Chaos Corona camera to explore how far we could push the contrast and color values. This is something we did not repeat for Syntactic Labyrinths as it wasn't the look we were going for in the film. However, it still gives us this unique set of images to appreciate.
