What if I refuse the delivery?

Understanding the consequences of refusing a shipment

While it might seem like refusing a package is a simple way to "return" an item, it can actually lead to the permanent loss of your order. We strongly advise against refusing deliveries for the following reasons.

Why Refusal is Not a Return

When a delivery is refused, the carrier does not always send the package back to us. Depending on the shipping route and the costs involved:

  • The Parcel May Be Destroyed: Carriers often choose to dispose of or destroy refused parcels rather than pay the high costs of international return shipping.
  • Additional Fees: If a package is returned, the carrier often charges Blauw Films for the return transit, which can be quite costly.

Our Refund Policy on Refused Items

As stated in our terms, we cannot provide refunds for orders that are refused and subsequently destroyed by the carrier. Because many of our items are made to order, the loss of the product means we cannot restock or resell it.

The Better Way to Handle It

If you have changed your mind about an order, the safest way to ensure you receive a refund is to:

  1. Accept the Delivery: Take possession of the package to ensure the items are safe.
  2. Contact Us: Reach out to info@blauwfilms.com to initiate a standard return.
  3. Follow the Return Policy: Ship the unused item back to our warehouse in Roermond according to our official guidelines.
